Introduction
Now you can benefit from the care of experienced
specialists in obstetrics and gynecology and enjoy a confidential, open
relationship with your provider without going far from your home.
Practice Philosophy
As a single specialty group of providers,
we work together as a team to provide all of our patients with the highest
quality and most comprehensive care available. During your
pregnancy we offer the opportunity to rotate your visits with most of the members
of our health care team. This will give you the opportunity to
meet the staff and, at the time of your delivery, you should know personally the provider
on call. We are confident that this schedule benefits the patient's
needs, which is our main priority. Although we cannot guarantee
that any one particular provider will deliver your OB care, we will make
a conscientious effort to honor your requests. Please note that,
sometimes we do share "on call"
responsibilities with other OB/GYN physicians in the area.

Appointments for Sonograms and Marriage Counseling are also available on the weekend.
We will make every effort to respect your
scheduled appointment time because you are important, and we know your
time is valuable. However, should we have an unexpected emergency arise
and are unable to see you as scheduled, we will let you know as soon as
possible so that you can reschedule. If you prefer, you may wait in our
comfortable reception area until the doctor or provider is available.
If you are on a tight schedule, please notify us when you arrive. Most
office visits take about an hour.
Obstetrical Care
Arista OB/GYN™ Associates provide complete
obstetrical care from the day you find you're expecting through your
postpartum exam. Our services include: normal and high risk pregnancies,
genetic counseling, infertility evaluations, prenatal care, vaginal and
Cesarean delivery and postpartum
care. Our ultrasound uses (3-D & 4-D) sound waves to create a visual image of your
baby which gives your physician important information about your baby's
development in the womb. The baby's father is welcome to share this experience
with you.
Gynecological Care
We
provide personal and professional care from newborns who need corrective
procedures, to adolescent girls, and to postmenopausal women. We treat
problems of the pelvic organs, lower urinary tract and breast. We also
provide infertility consultations, hormonal evaluations and management
of menopause. We routinely perform screenings for cancers, as well as
colposcopy, laparoscopy, cryosurgery, laser surgery and biopsies. We
perform a variety of gynecological surgery and
provide complete care of the menopause.
Emergency Care
If
you have an emergency after office hours, we will ask you to go to the
Northside Hospital Emergency Room Atlanta or Forsyth). Please call us before you leave for
the hospital so that the provider on call can discuss the problem with
you. If you believe that your emergency is life threatening,( call 911)- go to the
nearest Emergency Room immediately.

The office staff answers the phone from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. Please have your local pharmacy's phone number ready. After office hours your call will reach the answering service. Please give the person your name, telephone number and a brief description of your situation (labor pains, bleeding, etc.). The provider on call will phone you within approximately 15 minutes. However, in the event of a life threatening emergency, please go straight to the Emergency room and have them page us. We will charge you for telephone calls on the weekend and after office hours, unless it is an emergency. If you have call blocking on your phone it MUST be removed for our physicians to have the ability to call you. Please keep this in mind each time you call us.
Lunch Hours: Lunch hours are between 12:00 and 1:00, please leave our phones free for EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY during that time. the on-call doctor will return your call as soon as possible.

You can email us at: staff@aristaobgyn.com for non-urgent reasons. Please note that an urgent medical problem such as labor or a request for a same day appointment requires you to call the office. Do not use email for these reasons. We will respond to your email within a reasonable time, usually the same day, but a response may require 24 to 48 hours during normal business hours Monday thru Friday. Reception Area
Seating is limited in our reception area; therefore, we ask that only one guest accompany you on an office visit. Since the minor illness carried by small children pose a great danger to pregnant women, we request that you do not bring children with you. We understand this policy can be inconvenient at times, and we appreciate your cooperation and consideration of others.
Fees
We will be glad to explain fees or professional charges to you. All fees for service should be paid at the time service is rendered. The portion of obstetrical fees not covered by insurance( co-pays and annual deductibles) should be paid by the seventh month (24th) week of your pregnancy.
Insurance
We want to help you make the most of your insurance coverage. Our staff will file insurance claims for your hospital stay and some office procedures. Arista OB/GYN™ is a participating provider in managed care plans including Cigna, Blue Cross/Blue shield PPO and HMO, United Health Care( preferred provider), Aetna, Provident, Wellcare, Amerigroup, Medicaid, Peachstate and many others.
